The International Experimental Film Festival "Strange Screen" began its journey in 2001 in Thessaloniki by the anemiCinema team and completed its cycle in 2009, leaving the best impressions.

 

The festival, over its nine-year duration, has presented to the public productions of audiovisual works by mainly young creators, from Greece and abroad, who propose an experimental style and seek new formal solutions to issues of image, rhythm and narration, using for this purpose either new or older techniques.

 

The festival program included documentary screenings, experimental films, presentations of new creators, tributes, video-art, lectures, musical events, performances, etc., always centered on the moving image in its infinite manifestations.
